Soccer Camp and a Dead Battery

For 5 days this week, Finn will be attending the Soccer Camp sponsored by the North Arlington Youth Center. It starts at 9am and ends at 1pm, so kids should bring their own snacks. Gatorade was provided but with the number of kids attending, one big container isn't enough so good thing I had lots of water with me.
The kids were divided into 3 teams, according to their age group. They were taught the basics and they played mock games. Finn was having fun but he said that he gets tired so sometimes he just stands there and waits for the ball to come to him ... hehehe. I think that's the reason why he prefers to be the goalie (^_^)
They had a few short breaks and one longer one at noon. I had the water I brought in a cooler that plugs into the car so that it stays cold. For the lunch break, I turned on our car so Finn can keep cool for a bit with the AC on. Then I turned it off again when it was time to go back to the game. When the session ended at 1pm, the car wouldn't start (o_O) I tried again, nothing, just the tick tick tick sound when you turn it on. I turned off the radio, the AC, and unplugged the cooler, then waited a few more minutes before trying it again. Still nothing. So I called our insurance and told them of my situation and they sent for a tow truck. I told them I wanted them to try to jumpstart the car and if that doesn't work, then they can tow it. The truck arrived about 30 mins later and he didn't have cables for jumpstarting (-_-) *sigh* So he towed the car back to our house. He offered to take it to a mechanic but I'm not sure where Jojo would want to take it if it had to be fixed so I just asked him to take it back to our house. Good thing it's not far from the field we were at and towing was covered by our insurance. I hope it starts again tonight so we don't have to change the battery yet.

Waw!! Ang efficient ng towing niyo. Buti na lang it's covered by the insurance.

That happened to me before, I was careening down Katipunan at 530AM, on my way to work, when the battery died. And I had to use the momentum to park at McDonalds. Then my Dad fetched me and towed my car with his car, because the tow trucks are available during office hours only.
