Crafty Crickets

I've twittered and plurked about our weekly trips to the library. That's because I signed Finn up for the Catch the Reading Bug program at our public library. It's free and you can choose which activities to join. For his age group, there were 3 different classes: Crafty Crickets, Tangled Web, and Fleas Read with Me. I listed him for the first two but Tangled Web (where they get to use the computers and surf the internet for bugs) was already filled so he only goes to Crafty Crickets. That's every Wednesday at 11.45am.
Aside from the activities, the kids are encouraged to read a minimum of 10 books during the summer and everytime they show what they read, they get a prize. Since Finn has already read 9 books, the kids' librarian will be spacing out his prizes. He has received 3 prizes so far.
Yesterday we weren't able to go coz Finn's eye was still a little pink so he missed the class. We'll probably go tomorrow to show the books he read this week and borrow more for the next week.
Here are photos of Finn's first craft activity.
