Memorial Day

We decided to go to Six Flags today. Surprisingly, there weren't a lot of people. The longest I had to wait in line was only 30 mins (^_^)

Just as we got in our car to go home, it started raining ... heavily. Like typhoon strong! We had to stop for a while coz you couldn't see a thing. There were other cars waiting where we were too. Good thing we have a friend who lives nearby. We drove to their house to wait out the rain. Had dinner there too (thanks Azul family!) When the rains stopped, we were able to head back home.

The Pool is Open!

Our pool is now officially open(^_^) We invited our friends from the neighboring town plus Finn's "kuya" from TKD. It was also kind of his birthday party since it's his birthday today. Happy Birthday Minsung!

Strawberries

Last year we had 6 strawberry plants. We didn't uproot them for the winter. Lo and behold, they have flourished and have completely taken over the left plot. They're also trying to crossover to the right plot (^_^) Maybe we'll just let them be and hold a strawberry picking party sometime in June, hehehe.

We're late in planting this year but since we'll be away in the summer, I guess it's ok. So anyway, these are what we harvested this morning. I already used some for the strawberry lemonade I just made ... mmmmm.

Board Breaking Class

Finn’s last board breaking class before his black belt test next Saturday (^_^) We have to review everyday this week in preparation for the test. That means all 8 forms plus 2 basic ones, 12 one-step sparring and all the questions. Plus he has to write an essay as well. That one’s gonna be a little hard for him but I’ll be helping him formulate his thoughts. He knows everything already so I’m not worried. And they review during class too. I’m sure he’s gonna do fine (^_^)

Haircut

I’ve been itching to cut my hair recently. Last night I decided to cut bangs … it looked ok, but it didn’t really go well with my long hair. When I brush it up, it looks like I have a mullet (o_0) So this morning I went to a salon to have it cut really short. They asked if I was willing to donate my hair, so I said sure. I’ve done it before at a different salon where I got a free haircut. Too bad they don’t give free haircuts at this one but they will still donate it so it’s fine (^_^) They cut at least 10in off. My hair was longer last time coz they got 14in. It’s only been over a year so my hair isn’t that long yet but at least they still got a little over 10in right?
